When I was writing my Mother's Day post I couldn't help but think of how blessed I am to have such a great husband and such an amazing son. I have so much to be thankful for. God has blessed my life more than I could have ever imagined. I also started to think of how much I have taken for granted.
Dear me-age 4
This year is going to be a tough one, your brother is going to die. Play with him and comfort him when he cries, tell him you love him in your own way. He will play a role in your life even when he isn't here anymore.
Dear me- age 9-15(and beyond)
Study more...do better in school. You will wish you had done better in school, but don't stop having fun! Be thankful for your friends, keep in touch with them
Dear me-age 11
Listen to that little voice in your head that tells you to bring maxi pads to church camp. Don't be embarrassed about this, it's a part of life. Be thankful, this means you are becoming a woman and can some day have a baby.
Dear me- age 16
Be careful driving, always have your seat-belt on. Be thankful to your parents for letting you drive their car!
Dear me- age 17
Show your parents how much you love them and appreciate them. They didn't have to buy you a car but they did. You will get into some wrecks over the next few years, but you will be ok. Congrats! You are going to graduate from high school this year!
Dear me-age 18
You are about to date someone who you think you love. You will get your heart broken twice by a boy who you thought was "the one". Although he is a good person, the one that He made for you is still out there and is so AMAZING!
Dear me-age 19-20
Enjoy living in Tennessee, you will meet one of your best friends there. She will remain a part of your life for a long time.
Dear me- age 21-22
Enjoy college, although you should be done by now! It will be one of the most fun times in your life. By the way, that boy you're dating, isn't the one for you.
Dear me- age 23
This is a big year for you...when one of your friends that you haven't seen in a long time calls you and says "come out tonight", don't ask questions. Just go! You will meet your future husband!
Dear me-age 25
You are getting married this year to the most wonderful man you have ever met! Don't stress about the details, just take it all in. Remember your daddy walking you down the aisle, remember how beautiful you mom looked in her green dress. Remember how amazing it felt to say your vows to your husband and to hear him say his.
Dear me-age 27
You are going to become a mother this year! God is going to give you and Danny the most amazing gift. Enjoy every second of your pregnancy, it goes by so fast. Don't be scared about delivery, it isn't that bad. Enjoy every second you have with Remi, he is so amazing!
Dear me now:
Pick up your bible. Read it daily. Think before you speak. Kiss your husband everyday. Never yell at your son. Call your mom. Eat your vegetables and get off the computer. Enjoy the life that God has given you.
What would you say to your former self knowing that God has the ultimate plan? Knowing that you can change nothing and only accept the amazing life He has given you?
What would you write to yourself?
